Trump and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for the Nobel Peace Prize 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dear Members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee,<br>Yayasan Pendidikan Indonesia (YPI), a foundation dedicated to peace education, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable development with Special Consultative Status at the UN ECOSOC, hereby submits this open nomination for the 2027 Nobel Peace Prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We propose a joint award to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>President Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran (in recognition of his historical role)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rationale for Nomination:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Diplomatic Engagement and De-escalation Efforts: President Trump\u2019s direct engagement with adversarial leaders, including historic summits and efforts to broker ceasefires in multiple regions, demonstrated a willingness to pursue unconventional paths to peace. His administration\u2019s initiatives, such as the Abraham Accords, advanced normalization and economic cooperation in the Middle East.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leadership in Complex Geopolitical Contexts: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as a central figure in Iranian leadership for decades, represented a voice of resistance and strategic restraint amid intense regional tensions. His influence helped maintain stability within a complex ideological framework while navigating existential threats to his nation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential for Dialogue Between Civilizations: A joint recognition would symbolize the possibility of dialogue between differing worldviews \u2014 Western pragmatism and Islamic governance \u2014 at a time when education for peace and mutual understanding is critical. YPI believes that honoring leaders who, despite profound differences, held power during periods of potential global confrontation underscores the value of restraint and backchannel communication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alignment with Peace Education and SDGs: This nomination aligns with YPI\u2019s mission to promote education as a tool for conflict prevention, support for war-affected children, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to peace, justice, and strong institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We emphasize that the Nobel Peace Prize has historically recognized efforts toward reconciliation even in highly polarized contexts.
